Dog friendly Cornwall

Surely one of the best reasons to holiday in the UK is the ability to bring the whole family – including your pet!  Here at The Park we have a fantastic range of dog friendly properties in a wonderful location and on our door step are walks, beaches and attractions where your dog will be welcome too!

Beaches

Just a five minute stroll from The Park is Mawgan Porth beach – dog friendly all year round! Voted by The Times as one of their top beaches, we think you’ll fall in love with the west facing sandy beach at the bottom of rugged cliffs.

Also on our doorstop is Watergate Bay beach. Enjoy this two mile long walk across golden sands with plenty of rock pools to explore. There isn’t a seasonal dog ban on this beach either so you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Other great beaches locally include Crantock, Padstow and Porth. This beach guide has 50 great beaches in Cornwall where dogs are allowed to visit and enjoy the sea and sand and another 83 beaches that dogs are able to run at specific times of year.

Walks

It’s not just about finding a beautiful beach to stroll across, Cornwall also has a fantastic range of walks across the South West Coast Path and through gorgeous woodland.

Respryn Ramble near Lanhrydrock House, Bodmin is a wooded waterside walk along the river Fowey, with three designated dog bathing areas!

Nearby there is also the beautiful mixed woodland of Cardinham Woods, popular with local dog walkers. There’s a great café and stunning viewpoints to enjoy.

Here’s a list of more great walks.
