Eat Cornish

We may want to tempt you into The Kitchen here at The Park so you can enjoy the delights that our chef James has on offer, however, we’re ever mindful that our accommodation has fantastic self-catering facilities.

As such, we’ve put together this blog, detailing the best places to pick up some amazing Cornish produce so you can make the most of cooking with the gorgeous ingredients we have here in the county.

Food from Cornwall

This great site lists individual shops and suppliers, but also breaks the list down into different sections. So you can go straight to the section that makes amazing pasties, or you can skip to the fruit and veg area if you prefer. Whatever you’re looking for, this website will point you in the right direction

The Real Food Box Company

Just down the road from us in Newquay is a great farm that will deliver to your doorstep. It offers a comprehensive range of produce and is supplemented by non-Cornish produce if you need some extra essentials.

Bre-Pen Farm Shop

On our doorstep in Mawgan Porth is Brae Pen Farm Shop, which sells farm assured lamb, sausages, burgers, eggs and more. You can also grab some local cheeses, ice cream and beers.

Be aware of shorter opening hours after September, but if you’re here in high season, then check out their tea room.

Camel Valley Vineyard

Try some of their award winning wines and sparkling bruts. You can even take a tour around the vineyards. We’re sure you won’t come home empty handed.

Trevaskis Farm Shop

A great day out for all the family, with a restaurant and shop on site. There are animals for the children to visit, pick your own fruit or enjoy the enormous cakes on sale in the restaurant. Afterwards you can pop into their shop and pick up some produce to take home with you and cook up yourself.

Trevilley Farm Shop

Another local gem is Trevilley Farm Shop, in Newquay, which delivers hampers and food boxes to your holiday accommodation. As well as producing their own beef, lamb, geese and more, they sell produce from more than 50 local producers.

Finally, if you fancy a night off from all the delicious cooking you’ll be doing in your accommodation you can pop along to The Kitchen. Our head chef James prides himself on using Cornish fishmongers, butchers and veg suppliers. He even grows herbs in our very own garden.
