Newquay’s #1 Restaurant Opens at The Park

Newquay’s most popular restaurant, ranked No 1 online, is to open at The Park, Mawgan Porth

Gusto is to open a new set of doors in the New Year by taking up residence here at The Park, in Mawgan Porth. Currently ranked number one out of 188 restaurants in Newquay on Trip Advisor, Gusto is a hugely popular takeaway, known far and wide for its flavoursome, confident and honest food.

We’ve been looking to bring in an exciting new venture here at The Park, so when the opportunity arose to work with Gusto’s owner Simon Evans, he was the obvious choice to re-launch the restaurant.

Operations director David Reynolds, said:

“Simon’s success in Newquay has been on our radar for some time and we were both keen to find a way of working together. We have a wide selection of properties at The Park that attracts a varied clientele and we’re confident that there will be something for everyone to enjoy on the new Gusto menu.”

With a strong, loyal following, thousands of customers have shown their approval online by rating Gusto’s food an impressive five stars on Facebook.

Launching on Thursday, January 5, “Gusto @ The Park” will give Simon the opportunity to design menus based on the dishes customers love at the deli bar. He said.

“Our aim is to provide authentic, home-made food, featuring original recipes. It’s something our customers have come to expect from us and it’s this feedback that will be integral to the dishes served at The Park.”

The menu is designed from scratch, all of the food is home-made without the use of jars or bottles, and it’s this feedback that will be integral to the dishes served at The Park.

Gusto translates as ‘enjoyment in doing something’ in English and ‘taste’ on the continent. The flavour of the food is therefore paramount and sees items mango pepper pot pork, rosti-crusted salmon burger and jerk charred sea bass, as favourite amongst his fans.

The concept of communal eating is one already championed here at The Park. Simon is keen to continue with the theme and said:

“The concept of a shared experience is what will really bring the menu to life. Gusto @ The Park will provide a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the food at its best. Our sharing dishes will enable families and friends sit down and eat great food together in a communal experience.”

David said:

“Gusto’s popularity will be a huge appeal, not only to our guests, but to tourists and importantly to people who live locally, who will be excited about sitting down to eat his food in our excellent surroundings.”
