Summer Activities

Our holiday activities have been created for the whole family from toddlers to grandparents and this holiday includes young explorers’ club and nature craft, as well as tales of far flung lands with story-telling too. All free to guests but please book to avoid disappointment!

Young Explorers’ Club

‎Join the Young Explorers, a club suitable for children of all ages who wish to play and learn in the outdoors in and around the Park. Provided by qualified Forest School leaders. From Bug hunts to Bush craft, from foraging to fire-making the leaders choose different activities each week according to the Season and the weather.
Come togged up with outdoor gear, ready to explore local natural sites- beach or woods and get a bit wet or muddy!
If the weather gets really rough, the club hangs out in the Young Explorers Yurt for Wild crafts and stories about the great outdoors.
Snacks are provided. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer.

Nature Craft

Come to the Young Explorers Yurt ‎to play and create with natural materials. Be inspired to make things with a range of materials such as sticky clay or bendy willow, leaves, shells, natural beads and be ready to get messy hands! Children to bring parents or carers to join in and a camera to record natural art that won’t travel.

At the beginning and end of August, Laura will be combining stories with craft and an enchanting story-walk! Look out for the story-craft and story walk sessions in the programme below.
