Newquay

Newquay in Cornwall

Britain’s surfing capital of Newquay is a fascinating resort full of contrasts and things to do and is within easy reach of our holiday park - just 5 miles down the road. The town is bordered by 7 miles of sand and some of Europe’s best surfing beaches – in all there are some 11 fantastic beaches within easy reach of the town.

For the surfers among you, Fistral is the town’s surfing hub, with many of the world’s best surfers regularly heading for this fabulous beach. Outdoor activity providers in the area offer everything from surfing tuition and coasteering to abseiling and rock climbing. When you’ve finished hitting the waves, there’s lots of nightlife and music to enjoy around the town, from summer beach festivals to an array of nightclubs and live music venues.

If you’re more into history and heritage, take the town trail to explore the resort’s colourful past. And don’t miss the town’s many art galleries.

Other Newquay holiday highlights include:

  • Boat trips out to sea – to watch wildlife, enjoy a spot of fishing or simply explore the stunning coastline. Or for something more sedate, head for Trenance Boating Lake’s pedaloes and rowing boats
  • Hiking on the wonderful South West Coast Path, which threads its way past The Park and on through Newquay
  • Underwater safaris at Blue Reef Aquarium – an all-weather attraction popular with families.
  • Newquay Zoo - Cornwall's only zoo, offers a fun filled day out for all ages.
